Hello to all the ghouls and goblins, and welcome to The Music Obsessive.
I’m not quite sure what I’m going to do with this blog as my thoughts and ideas are rampant and in chaos so we’ll just take it one post at a time.
Who am I? I am damaen, The Music Obsessive. What does that mean? As the name suggests, music is my obsession. Particularly, “repeats,” which are songs that I just can’t get enough of, thus they are on repeat. Along with the chaos is randomness. And, so will these posts.
Being a wannabe polyglot, I am more interested in hearing non-English music. My listening preference is the Asian music industry, mainly from Japan, South Korea, and Thailand. I will go out of my way to listen to Asian artists and bands over everyone else, and then other non-English songs come next.
However, I don’t listen to every artist or band nor do I listen to all genres. The majority of the time I’m engrossed in a repeat. It’s a difficult decision when my ears want to listen to multiple songs at the same time, which happens more frequently than not.
I’m excited to kick off this blog, especially with my 2024 reports being released tomorrow on last.fm.
